International Wine Review (93)- "Offering an enticing floral nose of rose petals and red cherries, the Renesio is our favorite of the Malvira Roeros. It's more feminine and refined than the Mombeltramo. It's very fresh and less earthy on the palate with lovely pure, concentrate red cherry and berry flavors, both fresh and dried. Aged 24 months in French oak. The Renesio vineyard is 300 meters in altitude and stretches about 4.5 hectares. The soil is made of calcareous clay, and the vineyard is located in Canale with a south facing exposition. "
Decanter (91)- "This well-known estate was founded in the 1950s and now produces three Roero Riservas. Renesio exhibits a sweet, delicate raspberry nose which has charm and some finesse. This isn't a massive wine, but has some elegance and persistence as well as a fresh, nimble presence on the palate. Concentrated, balanced and stylish, the perky acidity comes into play on the finish."
James Suckling (92)- "A floral take on the style with cedary oak and dried leather savory notes at the edge. The palate is supple, bright and fresh with good focus and shape. It flows well and is neatly balanced."
