Wine Details

Malvira Roero Riserva Trinita DOCG

The Trinità is the most elegant and savory of the three Roero Riservas produced by Malvirà. Perfumes of dried rose, spice, black fruits and mint turn to smoke, iron, tobacco, grilled herbs and strawberry preserves on the palate. Firm, well-balanced tannins lend an indisputable energy and vibrancy to the wine, which will undoubtedly continue to evolve for many years to come.

Malvira Roero Riserva Trinita DOCG 2016

Wine Advocate (92)- "The 2016 Roero Riserva Trinità is a lean-bodied wine with light ruby and garnet highlights. The wine shows some pretty fruit tones of cassis and sour cherry, as well as some bitter almond. This Riserva is lean-bodied and easy, with enough structure and acidity to pair with a cheesy lasagna or casserole."

Malvira Roero Riserva Trinita DOCG 2015

Falstaff Magazine (92)- "Luminous, brilliant ruby red with a gently lightening rust-red edge. Full and profound nose, delicate of rum pot and ripe plums, subtle pepper note, multi-layered. Spreads powerfully on the palate, tightly woven tannins, grippy and present, well integrated, stays on the palate for a long time, powerful in the finish."

Malvira Roero Riserva Trinita DOCG 2015

Wine Advocate (91)- "Of these various wines from Malvirà, the 2015 Roero Riserva Trinità is certainly the most complete and integrated. This wine opens to a pretty garnet hue with faded amber highlights. The bouquet is smooth and soft, without the astringent and bitter notes we found in the other wines among these new releases. You can't escape those Nebbiolo tannins, but the wine shows a textured, tightly knit overall approach that works."
