(this vines are now about 40 years old) Black ruby. Deeply pitched aromas of cassis, blackberry, smoke and dark chocolate. Large-scaled, fat and chewy; a broad, rich barbera that's distinctly rounder and more approachable than the Bionzo. Finishes with soft but serious tannins. I'd like to put this in a blind fights of California cabernets!.
