The folks at La Spinetta were inspired by the great Sauvignon Blancs of Sancerre and the Loire and have used those wines as a model for this Piedmont expression. The 2015 Langhe Bianco Limited Edition( with fruit harvested at 600 meters above sea level near the town of Mango) is a contained and legant expression. The vines were planted in 1999. There is varietal purity here, but it is not delivered with pungents aromas. Instead, you get perfumed peach, honeydew melon and fresh mint. The mouthfeel shows a good level of volume and density. Production is small at only 4,000 bottles.
