I remember when the Cambria family of Cottanera first introduced this wine a few years back. They knew exactly what they wanted, and they have stuck to that goal with consistency. The 2018 Etna Rosato opens to a pale pink color and offers bright perfumes of almond blossom, sweet nectarine and wild cherry. The wine's color intensity is beautiful, with pale pink luminosity that shines with copper and gold. Served well chilled on a scorching summer day, it would be a great match to shrimp and seafood couscous. This is a terrific Rosato from Southern Italy—and a great value to boot. Some 17,500 bottles were made.
