The 2006 Roero Riserva Mombeltramo offers up dried flowers, tobacco, cedar and spices in a mid-weight, ethereal style. The flavors are already a touch forward, but the tannins need to soften, so it appears possible the Mombeltramo might end up with a relatively short window of peak drinakability. Still, it is an excellent effort from Malvirà.
