The 2013 Roero Riserva Trinità is the most backward and brooding of these Roeros. Game, smoke, leather, licorice and a host of balsamic-infused notes develop in the glass. The Trinità is undoubtedly an intriguing wine, but I am not sure it has enough fruit to match the potent tannins. Today, the 2013 comes across as quite concentrated and oaky.
