The 2006 Roero Riserva Trinita shows a touch more depth and sweetness in its fruit than the Mombeltramo, with lovely persistence on the palate, and a round, silky finish for a young Nebbiolo. This should be even better in another year or two, but it is already pretty delicious. Sweet red cherries, roses, licorice and smoke linger on the vibrant, polished close. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.
