Wine Advocate (90)- "The E. Pira e Figli - Chiara Boschis 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo shows a slightly broad profile that reflects the warmth of the vintage. Sourced from younger vines in Barolo-designated vineyards, a common practice in the Langhe that allows for earlier-drinking expressions of Nebbiolo, the wine presents a medium-dark color with high-toned notes of grilled herbs, bitter rose and lightly macerated cherry skin. There is a little more weight and power here compared to a typical Langhe Nebbiolo, yet the bottle maintains a distinct personality that sets it apart from more commercial expressions."
Falstaff Magazine (90)- "Intense ruby red with pale reflections. Typical, elegant bouquet, first nose with pepper, later sour cherry, violet, chocolate and tobacco. Full-bodied, precise taste, intense fruity body with a backbone of sweet tannins."
Jeb Dunnuck (90)- "The 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo is a brilliant ruby hue and is highly charming on the nose, with aromas of ripe raspberries and floral, sweetly perfumed notes. The palate has ripe tannins and is medium-bodied, with a clean and approachable, pure feel throughout. It a lot of clarity and is a gorgeous wine that’s going to drink well any time over the next 6-7 years, but I love this for its freshness."
