Jeb Dunnuck (93)- "From Grinzane Cavour, the 2022 Barolo Garretti pours a jeweled ruby hue. Aromas of grenadine, ripe peach, sweet cedar, and pressed wildflowers emerge from the glass. Medium-bodied, it is polished and elegant, with balanced acidity, refined tannins, and a subtle grip on the finish. It’s approachable now but capable of aging well. Drink 2026-2040."
James Suckling (91)- "Very aromatic, exuberant and floral with a peachy note, a touch of citrus and some incense. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with abundant fruit complemented by integrated acidity and supple tannins. Drink or hold."
Jeb Dunnuck (93)- "The 2021 Barolo Garretti displays a medium red color, and the nose opens to a spicy and warming aromas of cedar, ripe cherries, dried herbs, and leather. The palate offers a compact, refreshing, angular structure, bright acidity, and a mineral-inflected finish. It’s tightly coiled and is going to benefit from another few years in the bottle if stored in cool cellars. Drink 2027-2040."
