Jeb Dunnuck (95)- "A slightly deeper ruby hue, the 2023 Barbaresco Valeirano reveals darker aromatics of raspberry cordial, crushed stone, incense, and mineral tones. Medium-bodied, it is more compact and muscular in style, with chiseled structure, persistent length, and mineral tension. This is the most structured of the Barbaresco trio in this vintage. Drink 2027-2047."
Jeb Dunnuck (95)- "Coming from Treiso (the rest come from Nieve), the 2022 Barbaresco Valeirano Versu is a medium red/orange color and is sweetly perfumed on opening with aromas of rose petal, wild strawberries, hints of blue flowers, and wet stones. The palate is where the structure gradually comes through, with ripe and youthful tannins, even acidity, and good length. It’s deceptive on the nose with its incredibly pretty perfume, but it will be worth waiting for. Drink 2027-2040."
Vinous Media (94+)- "The 2022 Barbaresco Vigneto Valeirano is the most powerful and brooding of the Spinetta Barbarescos. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, new leather, cedar and scorched earth build in the glass. This potent, virile Barbaresco needs time to soften. There's real density and palate presence here. Fabulous."
